As a longtime fan of the Vaporesso Xros Series, I had high expectations for the Xros 4 device - and it didn’t disappoint. In my opinion, this is the best pod kit on the market!

The first thing I noticed was the impressive build quality. Being aluminium alloy, this feels a lot more solid and premium than other pod kits.

I always expect great flavour from Xros devices, but the addition of adjustable power levels made it even better with the Xros 4. Using the 0.6ohm Xros pod at output level 3, the flavour was the best I’ve experienced.

This additional power did mean sacrificing some pod and battery life (although the 1000mAh battery still lasted 6 hours of heavy use), so I eventually settled on the middle setting.

Vaporesso Xros 4 Mini: Beginner-friendly, great flavour

Despite trying many vape devices over the years, the Vaporesso Xros 3 Mini is still one of my all-time favourites. With this in mind, I was excited to see what the newer Xros 4 Mini had to offer.

At first glance, the device is small and stylish with a nice, slightly textured finish. The build also feels more premium compared to the Xros 3 Mini.

Operation-wise, the Xros 4 Mini is incredibly beginner-friendly - with fixed-coil pods, automatic power settings and inhale firing. This easy-to-use design makes this kit ideal for new vapers or disposable users looking for a no-fuss rechargeable device.

There is also the new addition of adjustable airflow control which allows you to tailor your inhale. While this is a nice feature for customisation, I personally feel it takes away from the device’s simplicity.

The Aspire Pixo is one of the best pod devices I’ve tested in a long time - with great flavour and plenty of customisable features.

The build feels solid and it’s a conveniently sized device. My favourite feature is the HD touchscreen display, which feels much like a mobile phone screen. I particularly like that you can simply double-swipe the screen to enter wattage adjustment mode.

Having a range of customisable settings including a choice of output modes (smart or manual wattage), activation modes and screen themes meant I could set the device up exactly how I wanted. The haptic feedback alerts are also a nice touch. However, I did find the 1100mAh battery depleted a little quicker than on similar devices I’ve tried.

VG’s Air 4-in-1 has everything you would want from a big puff vape device - long-lasting battery life, easy operation and great flavour.

Testing the device over a few days, I found the battery life particularly impressive - with the 1100mAh battery lasting a full day of moderate use straight out of the box. When the battery did run low, after just a 15-minute charge it lasted me a further 2 days (at time of writing). I also found the colour-coded battery indicator handy to let me know when to recharge.

 

Elf Bar AF5000: Long-lasting disposable

The Elf Bar AF5000 kit is a great choice for fans of Elf Bar flavours. With 12ml of e-liquid and a rechargeable battery, it’s especially suitable for disposable users looking for a longer-lasting alternative.

I found the device itself worked very well and has impressive build quality for a disposable kit. The kit lasted me 3 days of continuous use and 4 battery recharges before the e-liquid ran out.

As a fan of Elfliq Pink Lemonade nic salts, I tried the Pink Lemonade kit. It’s a very strong, sweet flavour in both formats but I found it even more so in AF5000 form - probably due to the power output of the device. I did find the airflow a little more restricted than I’m used to but overall it produced a very smooth vape.
